About Bonnie Posselli

Utah native Bonnie Posselli began painting plein air when she was a young woman in her early twenty’s. She later studied with Utah’s noted portrait painter Alvin Gittens at the University of Utah and earned a degree in illustration from the Salt Lake Community College. Posselli, an award winning and highly recognized Utah artist, has been teaching on a private basis for many years and also conducting out door painting workshops. Bonnie`s quiet and meticulous rendering of trees, as well as her rich luscious hues depicting the many moods of Utah`s red rock country have won her critical praise as well as an impressive group of collectors. She has won Best of Show and the Peoples Choice Award at previous Maynard Dixon Country shows. A book "The Paintings of Bonnie Posselli", Hardcover, 87 Color Plates, 120 pages, was recently published.
